Thomas Tuchel is in buoyant mood ahead of this weekend’s game against Tottenham, and you can clearly see the optimism in the eyes of the manager as Chelsea looks set to battle for the Premier League trophy.

Manchester United and Manchester City spent big money to improve their squad, and Liverpool had spent big money in the past.

But Tuchel has said he’s not afraid of Chelsea’s rivals and says that he wants to compete with them.

Asked to address the transfer spending of Chelsea’s main rivals, Thomas Tuchel told the media: “We are not afraid of anyone.

“We accept any team and Manchester City, Manchester Utd and Liverpool, they are the teams strong like no other in this league and they have strong squads.

“These are the guys with whom we want to compete and it’s normal that they fight for the best players and I thought this is [Harry Kane moving to Manchester City] maybe going to happen.”
