Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, currently on loan at Crystal Palace, has responded to praise from Manchester United legend Gary Neville.
Gallagher has enjoyed a superb start to the season at Selhurst Park, scoring or assisting four times in eight appearances.
Neville was impressed with Gallagher’s performance for Palace in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates earlier in the month and described the 21-year-old as ‘brilliant’.
“I liked his energy. I liked his commitment to go press the ball. I thought when he got the ball he used it,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“I thought he was brilliant for Crystal Palace. You need players in your team who go win the ball back when you’re out of possession, do the hard yards and get on the ball in the Premier League.”
Asked whether he takes notice of praise from the likes of Neville, Gallagher told Sky Sports: “Yeah, for sure.
“If people like that are talking about me, I want to know what they say, if it’s good or bad. But I’m thankful and happy he said something nice, it’s obviously a positive thing.”
