According to Opta, Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is among the most successful dribblers in the European World Cup qualifiers so far.

Among players with at least 10 dribble attempts so far, Mount has had the fourth-highest dribble success rate (84.6%) in European World Cup qualifiers.

Out of Mount’s 13 dribble attempts in the European World Cup qualifiers, 11 were successful.

While Mount has been successful with his dribbles during the World Cup qualifiers, he hasn’t been that lucky in the Premier League as he has completed just two dribbles out of eight attempts.

Having to play in a more advanced position in Thomas Tuchel’s 3-4-3 system compared to a deeper position for England, often against teams who defend deep, has certainly played a part as well.

Kai Havertz, who often plays in a similar role to Mount at Chelsea, has a worst dribble success rate, completing just one of 10 dribble attempts.
