According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, president of Spanish side Joan Laporta wants Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to replace Ronald Koeman as Barcelona manager.

The report claims Laporta admires the job Tuchel has done at Chelsea since replacing Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss and would like to see him take the Barcelona job.

Barcelona are currently in crisis, with Ronald Koeman apparently losing the backing of the club’s bigwigs following a string of poor results.

Tuchel’s contract with Chelsea runs till 2024 and it’s highly unlikely Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia would allow the German tactician leave.

Tuchel guided the Blues to our second Champions League title last season, barely six months after replacing Lampard as Chelsea boss.

Barcelona would have to look elsewhere for a replacement for Koeman.
