Former Chelsea youngster Tino Livramento is eyeing up a senior team appearance with the England national team.
The 18-year-old sealed a move to Southampton after refusing to sign a new contract with the club. He is in top form for the Saints and has already played for England across various different age groups.
Livramento has now revealed how much he looks up to fellow academy product Reece James who’s now a key player for Chelsea and is part of the England squad.
“The quality at right-back that England have at the moment is just ridiculous,” Livramento told the Evening Standard.
“You’ve got to enjoy competition and when you get given any opportunity you’ve got to take it.”
He added: “[James] would be a nice path to follow.
“He is a fantastic player and I always look up to people like him and look at their games and see where I can improve mine and every time I watch him it looks like he keeps improving as well.”
