Jorginho admits he doesn’t have the physical attribute for the Premier League

Jorginho was signed up from Napoli back in 2018 as Chelsea paid over £50m to bring him from the Italian Serie A.

Jorginho was a tried and trusted servant of former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, but he struggled to cope with the intensity of the Premier League when he first made the switch to Chelsea.

However, the 30-year-old had an extraordinary season last term and he has put it down to how he used his intelligence to adapt to the nature of the Premier League.

“I’ve always tried to put my game in the Premier League, not the other way around,” Jorginho said.

“I learned the issue of physical contact and intensity. I put it in my style, because I don’t have the physical build to want to go into the Premier League style of running and brawling. I get this, I try to insert it into my style of play.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
