Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek came on as a second-half substitute in the Champions League clash against Juventus.
Juventus were ahead and looked in control of the game until the introduction of Loftus-Cheek.
Loftus-Cheek had a good game and was Chelsea’s brightest player but unfortunately he couldn’t find the target or help his teammates to.
Loftus-Cheek has now urged his teammates to put away the pain of the defeat and focus on this weekend’s clash against Southampton.
Loftus-Cheek said: “Anyone can win this competition. You want to be peaking when you get to the business end. Sometimes you can afford a loss in the group stage. We need to get through this, work at it. It will come, and hopefully we will look back and see this as a hurdle.
“We need to reflect on this game, see where we can get better, regroup and bounce back. Now it’s about the mental game and we need to win in the Premier League on Saturday.”
