Chelsea paid £97.5m to sign up Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, and the Blues paid big money to sign up the Belgian so he can score the goals this season.

Lukaku started his Chelsea career with three goals in his first three Premier League games, but the Belgium international hasn’t scored again since then.

Former Chelsea women’s team striker Eniola Aluko has told Lukaku just how to get back into scoring goals again.

According to Eniola, Lukaku must remain confident that he can score the goals and also urged him to be dynamic rather than static, as she believes he can be more involved in games.

“This is an instrumental player who was scoring so many goals for Inter Milan to win the title, he started on fire for Chelsea scoring goals – he’s scoring goals for Belgium in the Nations League,” Aluko said on BT Sport.

“It may just be that he’s thinking about it too much, these players at the cutting edge, if they don’t score in one game it becomes a crisis and it’s not a crisis.

“I think Lukaku needs to be a bit more adventurous, he plays within the width of the goal, can he play on the counter attack a bit more? For Belgium sometimes he moves out wide.

“Be a bit more unpredictable, sometimes the best defenders like against Juventus, they read him.

“He’s getting in the right positions but he’s snatching at it now, in the first few games he wasn’t doing that. Maybe he’s just overthinking things. Just snatching at it a little bit, it’s not a crisis because he’s getting in the right position.”
