Timo Werner was signed by Chelsea to bang in the goals like he did for RB Leipzig, but the German international has so far found it difficult to hit continuous scoring form since signing up for Chelsea.

Werner scored 32 goals in all competitions for Leipzig two years ago, but has been struggling to find the net for both club and country since signing up for Chelsea.

A German media outlet had claimed that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel had a chat with Germany national team manager Hansi Flick regarding the misfiring Timo Werner.

According to Bild, the two German nationals conversed after Chelsea’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City – a game Werner struggled to perform.

According to the report, the two managers tried to exchange ideas on how to bring out the best in Solskjaer.

Werner seemed to have gotten better, as his performance in the win over Southampton was top class. However, he failed to produce the goods for Germany as they laboured to beat Romania 2-1.
