Thiago Silva sets record after playing in Brazil’s goalless draw against Colombia

Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva achieved an incredible landmark after featuring in Brazil’s goalless draw against Colombia.

Silva, 37, made his 100th appearance for the Selecao in a 0-0 draw against Colombia, coming on as a substitute.

Silva is just the 8th player in history to make 100 appearances for the Brazilian national team

The goalless draw against Colombia is the first points dropped by Brazil in this qualification campaign. They had won the first nine games so still lead the 10-nation-strong group comfortably with Argentina in second.

The top four qualify automatically for Qatar.
