You don’t often get to see a 7-0 scoreline in the Premier League, and the last time Chelsea scored up to seven goals in a Premier League match was in the 8-0 bashing of Wigan 11 years ago under Carlo Ancelotti.
Thomas Tuchel’s side was in brilliant form against the Canaries at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, and the Blues just seemed too good for the visiting side.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admitted he was pleased with the victory but vowed not to carried away as there are difficult games ahead.
According to Tuchel, you need a bit of luck to win a game 7-0 and has also said his side must be prepared to play games where they’d also labour very hard to get a win.
He said after the game: “I don’t want to get carried away too much because we play now four times in a row as favourites and I like the way we approach these games. It’s a humble approach and it’s an approach where we set our standards and we push ourselves and we play all in every match and are not distracted by the role which we are maybe seen in before the match.
“This is important and we have to keep on going in this way and anything is possible. If you have a bit of luck and you create more chances, then you become a bit more confident and we are capable of scoring four or seven goals, which is good, but there will also be games where things are closer and we need to be prepared for that also.”
