Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed that his side is in a better place injury wise compared to the League Cup game against Aston Villa where the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N’Golo Kante and Cesar Azpilicueta also joined the treatment table.
Tuchel has now revealed that strikers Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku are still out injured but Christian Pulisic is back in contention, as well as the trio of Azpilicueta, Loftus-Cheek and Kante.
“We have some better news than ahead of Southampton,” said Tuchel. “Timo and Romelu are still out because of their injuries.
“Christian Pulisic did join the last two training sessions but it’s early given the time he missed.
“Everybody else is available. Azpi, Ruben and N’Golo were back on the pitch so they will be with the team tomorrow and ready to play.”
