Chelsea youngster Harvey Vale is a fast rising player from the Chelsea academy and is highly rated by the club.
Although the 18-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for Chelsea, he has had some training sessions with the senior team and was named on the bench in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League clash away in Sweden.
The 18-year-old has already established himself as a key part of Chelsea’s Under-23s, and has been scoring goals and getting assists with ease.
The Chelsea senior team players are well aware of Vale’s talent, and he put in such an impressive performance during a Chelsea first-team training session that he was offered a lift home by Olivier Giroud.
Vale has been involved in first team training since Frank Lampard’s era, and according to a report by The Athletic, Giroud was one player who was so impressed by Vale’s ability at such a young age, and after one session, he asked the young midfielder where his car was parked.
But after being told by Vale that he wasn’t old enough to drive and was planning to get a taxi, Giroud offered him a lift.
We surely can’t wait to see Vale get his Chelsea debut and make his way up to the Chelsea first team.
Vale who picked up his first senior minutes in a preseason friendly last August – the 1-1 draw with Brighton, is in the final year of his contract with the club, and Chelsea must do everything possible to ensure they don’t lose the buzzing youngster.
