Chelsea tried to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde during the summer transfer window but despite agreeing personal terms with the France international, the Blues failed to reach an agreement with Sevilla.
Kounde has now admitted his failure to secure a move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window affected him.
The Blues offered £50million but Sevilla rejected Chelsea’s offer as they wanted a fee close to Kounde’s release clause of £68million.
Kounde has explained that he was upset at the time at Sevilla’s failure to reach an agreement with Chelsea but he’s now gotten over his initial dismay.
The defender told TF1: “Did it affect me? Yes, a little bit, but now I’ve dealt with it.”
