BBC pundit Garth Crooks has named Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea’s best signing of the year.
Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss in January and led the Blues to Champions League success last season. This season, the Blues are top of the Premier League table after 10 games.
Crooks told BBC: “As for Chelsea, their best signing of the year wasn’t even playing. No, I’m not talking about Romelu Lukaku, I’m talking about manager Thomas Tuchel. He has been brilliant.”
Crooks also hailed Reece James for his performance in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday.
He added: “Scored the first with his left foot and the second with his right and I can’t tell which one James struck better. They were both hit with the same power and precision. This is the second consecutive week I have selected James and done so without the slightest hesitation. The lad is playing out of his skin.”
