Former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker has hailed Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. The 30-year-old has been in extraordinary form since signing for the club, and was a key player as Chelsea won the Champions League last season.

Kante has had his fair share of injuries this season, but has been remarkable in the games he has featured, and according to Lineker, the Frenchman will make any team better.

Speaking on Match of the Day’s Top 10 podcast, Lineker, Micah Richards and Alan Shearer debated where to put Kante in their list for ‘Unsung Heroes’.

“He’s quiet, isn’t he. And he’s so modest and he’s shy and he smiles all the time. He should be in the top ten superheroes,” said the former England striker.

“He’s a player. Unbelievable. He’d improve any team on the planet, wouldn’t he?

“People talk about him on the ball… he breaks the lines, you know. He can burst through.”
