Chelsea have been linked with a move for Adrien Rabiot in the past, and the links have resurfaced again in recent times.

The Frenchman is seen as a high quality midfielder and he’s attracting interest from some top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea.

The versatile Frenchman can play anywhere across the midfield and started on the left wing in the Champions League clash between Chelsea and Juventus.

Rabiot had an off day against the Blues, and former Chelsea star Joe Cole was left unimpressed with his performance and said that he flatters to deceive.

“That man Rabiot comes with a big reputation, he plays for France. He flatters to deceive so much,” Cole told BT Sport 2.

Meanwhile, Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was disappointed after the game and slammed his team for losing woefully to Chelsea.

“Unfortunately, tonight we saw the difference between the two teams,” the Poland international told Sky Sport Italia.

“They are the best team in Europe, the reigning champions of Europe and today we were unable to challenge them in any way. It hurts, it really hurts.

“On Saturday there’s a head-to-head with Atalanta in Serie A, it is very important, we must put this behind us and focus on that game.

“I get the sensation we have found our balance, it’s just that tonight we put in a tragic performance and were punished by four goals.

“You can lose, but I struggle to accept losing like this.”
