Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has been in fine form for the Blues this season.
The academy graduate has forced his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans and his performances so far has been top notch.
The 22-year-old made his seventh Premier League appearance in the game against Leicester City and has featured in 11 games in all competitions this season.
The young centre-back has credited Thiago Silva who has been his idol growing up and also Antonio Rudiger, whom he sees as his mentor.
“Thiago Silva was one of my idols growing up as a kid, and with how successful he’s been,” Chalobah told the media ahead of the Champions League clash with Juventus.
“It’s great sharing the pitch and training sessions with him. For me as a young player he is someone I need to look at for where I want to be, and where I want to go to.
“Antonio [Rudiger] has been a very big mentor for me since I first came here,’ added Chalobah, who shares Sierra Leonean heritage with Rudiger.
“He took me in and helped me in training sessions. When I went out on loan, he told me what was needed. Now’s it’s good to share the same pitch with him.”
