‘He has huge potential’ – Rio Ferdinand makes admission about talented teenager linked with Chelsea

Jude Bellingham is making the waves in the German Bundesliga, and the 18-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea even before his move to Borussia Dortmund.

The highly rated teenager recently impressed while on international duty with England, and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has admitted that the 18-year-old has a huge potential.

“[Jude Bellingham’s] one of my favourite players to watch at the moment over the last year. A fantastic player. A great character. Huge, huge potential. I don’t even see a ceiling yet to what he can achieve,” Ferdinand said.

The box-to-box central midfielder has 3 goals and 7 assists in 18 appearances already this season, and reports claim Chelsea are monitoring the young midfielder.

Speaking on ITV after England’s empathic 10-0 destruction of San Marino, Manchester United legend Roy Keane couldn’t help but praise the young midfielder.

“We love everything about him. What he’s doing on the pitch,” said Roy Keane.

“The way he speaks off of it. He’s playing week in, week out for his club. The potential for this kid, it is scary.

“I saw him recently playing for Dortmund in a Champions League game and he was producing passes where I was like I didn’t think he had that in his locker just yet.

“The potential for this kid. He’s a good size, he looks like a boxer. Gareth must be rubbing his hands.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
