Chelsea fans have blamed Timo Werner for Chelsea’s inability to beat Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

According to Squawka Football, Werner attempted more shots than any other player during his time on the pitch (5) against Manchester United but none of them hit the target.

Werner’s performance angered Chelsea fans and the German international has been blamed for the draw against Manchester United.

@pappalz tweeted: “I don’t understand why Werner started. He’s just not in the game and I don’t see him scoring even in another 2 hours.”

@londonna99 tweeted: “With Werner playing up top, it’ll always have to take a penalty to score.”

@ftblYendi tweeted: “I think this is the first game where werner’s finishing has actually cost us”

@tessderry1 tweeted: “A draw you can kind of accept. But we needed substitutes at 45 minutes and if we’d had them, we could have won that, IMO. Attacking threat with Werner and Ziyech = 0.”

@CFCJC88 tweeted: “I like to try and back players but as far as im concerned we cut our losses on Werner and go again. He offers absolutely nothing.”
