‘He’s a good player but not as good as Mason Mount’ — Craig Burley says of in-form Arsenal star

Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe is in fine form at the moment, and the 21-year-old has been on fire this season.

Rowe has already scored five goals and assisted two this season, and has bagged three goals in his last four league games.

However, for all his fine form, former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley doesn’t see Rowe as a better player or with better potential than the likes of Mason Mount and Manchester City’s Phil Foden.

Speaking on ESPN, Burley was asked if Smith Rowe was the most underrated youngster in the Premier League and how great his potential could be.

“I think he is a good player, but I’m not sure the ceiling is as high for him as the likes of a Phil Foden and maybe one or two others,” said the former Chelsea man.

“Maybe Mason Mount. Marcus Rashford, who is just coming back into the side.

“But he is a good player, there’s no doubt about it and he’s made an impact, so we will see.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
