Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has named former Chelsea star Eden Hazard as the toughest player he has faced in his career.

Hazard was a Chelsea player from 2012 to 2019, and was regarded as the best player in the Premier League during his time at Chelsea.

Hazard made a mess of many quality defenders during his time in the Premier League, and Alexander-Arnold has admitted that the former Chelsea star was just too good to be marked.

“Eden Hazard, yeah,” Alexander-Arnold told Amazon Prime.

“The best by probably a little bit of a distance.

“Maybe [Kevin] De Bruyne, but directly against an opponent would have to be Hazard.

“Speed, agility, his awareness and his intelligence on and off the ball is unreal.”

Hazard is now being linked with a return to Chelsea as his big money move to Real Madrid hasn’t worked out well for him.
