Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe is in top form for the Gunners, and the 20-year-old has already broken into the Arsenal first team.

At the age of 21, Smith Rowe is already a rising star in football and seems to have a huge career ahead of him.

Rowe has now revealed how he felt sad after Chelsea failed to sign him in after trialling at the club as a young kid.

“Yes, before I went to Arsenal, I went on trial at Chelsea through one of my teammates at my local team,” Emile Smith Rowe said, as quoted by Goal.

“He was on trial there already and he put in a word for me. I don’t know how he managed it but I got a trial at Chelsea but I didn’t get it.

“It was difficult to take at the time, being so young, but I went straight into Arsenal after that and luckily I got in and I haven’t looked back since.”

Rowe signed up to the Arsenal academy at the age of 10 after being snubbed by Chelsea, and he had revealed in a previous interview that Chelsea shunned him because he was too small in size.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
