Chelsea travel to Vicarage Road on Wednesday to face struggling Watford, and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that he could be without six players for this game.

N’Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell and Mateo Kovacic are all ruled out of this fixture due to injury, while the trio of Reece James, Jorginho and Timo Werner are doubts heading into the game.

Tuchel however gave good news on Romelu Lukaku, as he revealed that the Belgian has been progressing in training, having been out injured for up to a month, before a cameo appearance against Manchester United.

“Romelu is easy. He came on and continues to train. No reaction from his ankle,” Tuchel told reporters ahead of the match against the Hornets.

“He is ready to progress in minutes. For sure out is Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante. We have some doubts of players, more time and examinations.

“They are Reece James, Jorginho and Timo Werner. They all trained today but there will be some last minute decisions.”
