Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has revealed his grievance with a post made by FIFA.

The Chelsea goalkeeper is one of the five nominees for FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.

FIFA shared a post containing the pictures of all five goalkeepers on their Instagram page, and an eagle-eyed Mendy made a sharp observation.

Mendy observed that he was the only goalkeeper who wasn’t donning his national team jersey.

“2 days I’m looking at this post and trying to understand why but I still didn’t get it. Is it normal I’m the only one without the jersey of my country Senegal. Is it fair for Senegal”, Mendy wrote.

The official graphic is still there on FIFA’s Instagram page. However, Mendy shared an unofficial graphic from an unknown designer later on and wrote: “Thanks to the guy who has done this! @FIFA was it so difficult?”

FIFA should know better than making this kind of mistake.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
