Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has revealed that he’s unfazed about his contract situation with Chelsea, with his contract set to wind up at the end of the month.

Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva are also in the final six months of their contract with the club, and nothing yet has been ascertained.

For Andreas Christensen, the 25-year-old has been a key player for the team since last season. This season alone, the Dane has started eight Premier League games and four in the Champions League.

Christensen doesn’t feel it’s a bad situation to be in the final year of his contract with Chelsea.

He told BT Sport: “I do not know why everyone thinks it is a bad situation. I’m still happy and I enjoy playing football.

“Yes (Chelsea will have an interest in securing their player), but on the other hand, they also have a player who right now enjoys playing football and the coach shows him confidence. There is no bad relationship, there is nothing.”

Asked when there may be some more clarity on the situation, he said:” Hopefully soon.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
