The Ballon d’Or winner will be announced at a gala event at the Chatelet Theatre in Paris on 29 November, and everyone is arguing who deserves it more for the year 2021.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is certain to be crowned 2020 winner, but the winner for 2021 has many names to it.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, PSG’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as well as Lewandowski have all been tipped to win the award.

Meanwhile, Lewandowski has said he’s not thinking about the award for now.

“I stopped thinking about it too much. It would certainly not help me to think about my chances of winning it, the speculations and the leaks in the media. I prefer to focus on something else,” Lewandowski said.

“Maybe when the gala gets closer, I will start to think about it. It is the beginning of November, so there is still some time. Of course, the Ballon d’Or is a great award, but there’s no need to think about it, because I still have a lot to do before and after the gala.”
