According to Daily Star, Mason Mount has grown ‘frustrated’ and is feeling ‘under appreciated’ at Chelsea because of his treatment compared to other high-profile stars at the club.

The report claims Mount believes he is still being treated as a youth team player in comparison to mega-money stars brought into the club in recent years.

Mount’s current contract, worth £75k a week, makes him one of the lowest earners at Chelsea.

A source close to the player told Daily Star: “Mason is a top lad and thought of well within Chelsea, and is popular with the team. But he isn’t feeling appreciated anymore.

“He’s been at Chelsea since he was a tiny lad, but despite coming up through the Academy, he doesn’t feel like he gets the same treatment or recognition as players bought in for big money.”

Mount is expected to be rewarded with a new contract soon after recent reports claimed the Blues want to double his £75k a week wages.
