Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has recorded five goals and two assists in his first 17 outings across all competitions for Roma.

The 23-year-old moved to Roma to up his game after a lack of playing time at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues academy graduate is doing well in Rome and has progressed a lot under Mourinho.

Pressed on what he has learned from Mourinho, Abraham told reporters while away on international duty that Mourinho has taught him to be a monster.

He said: “Just be a monster really!

“I think one of the things he said was I was too much of a nice player and that you have to show that aggressiveness as you’re getting older as a striker.

“It’s not always about being nice on the pitch. You need that character, you need that presence to frighten defenders and I think that’s something I’m learning and getting better at.”

Chelsea inserted a buyback clause in the Tammy Abraham deal, and it can be triggered in two years time.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
