Mendy: Barely had anything to do all game until a late Matej Vydra goal. Would be disappointed not to have kept a clean sheet. 6/10
Reece James: Had an explosive game in right wing-back. Put in a number of dangerous balls into the box including a fine cross for Kai Havertz goal. 8/10
Christensen: Had a good game and should have gotten on the scoresheet. His only mistake was that he was ghosted by Jay Rodriguez in the build-up to the goal. 6/10
Thiago Silva: Comfortable display and very assured in possession. Had a header hit the bar and also saved Chelsea late on from a late Burnley counterattack. 7/10
Rudiger: Had a good game and was always a threat in the Burnley box during corners. Would be disappointed that the team couldn’t keep a clean sheet. 7/10
Ben Chilwell: Had a very good game and was a threat down the left. Only mistake was that he didn’t close down Westwood a bit quicker for the equaliser. 7/10
Jorginho: Dominated the midfield in the first half when it was all Chelsea. Unfortunate that his team didn’t get the win. 7.5/10
Kante: Excellent first half display. Seemed tired in the second half. 7/10
Barkley: His first Premier League start for Chelsea since July 2020. Had a good game as he was always a threat with the ball. Missed a glorious chance to seal the victory in the second half and his decision making at times were poor. His exit coincidentally killed the balance of the team. 7/10
Hudson-Odoi: Very fine performance. Was always lively on the ball and missed a good chance. His impact dropped in the second half. 7/10
Havertz: Scored Chelsea’s only goal with a brilliant header. Had a fine game. Some of his runs weren’t spotted on time by teammates. 7.5/10
Loftus-Cheek: Replaced Barkley and was involved in some half chances, but nothing much. 7/10
Mount: Came in late for Kante.
Pulisic Late sub for Hudson-Odoi.
