Chelsea fans have indeed missed the days when the pure magic and skill of Eden Hazard often lifted the team out of trouble.

Hazard’s skills were legendary, and his ability to beat a man or two often created gaps that his teammates can exploit.

Thomas Tuchel has done well in his short time as Chelsea manager, but it’s so glaring to see that the team needs a magician in the final third to help open up space when the going gets tough. The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mateo Kovacic can dribble from deep, but the Chelsea team needs a dribbler in the final third, and injury has prevented Christian Pulisic from being that man. It’s easy to understand why the club is being linked with a reunion for Hazard who has failed to find his feet with Real Madrid.

Chelsea have now been gifted an opportunity to sign up an alternative to Eden Hazard, as Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne could leave Naples at the end of the season.

Vincenzo Pisacane, the agent of Lorenzo Insigne, has revealed that Insigne is having contract issues with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who has offered the Napoli captain a bizarre fifty per cent pay cut.

“I must clarify that the contract offer comes with a 50% pay cut. I am an agent and I must defend the captain at any time,” Pisacane said, speaking to Italian outlet Il Roma.

“Usually, you offer more money when you want to extend a contract. Lorenzo was surprised [by Napoli offer]. There is mutual respect with Aurelio, but he knows that the proposal must be increased and not cut.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
