Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has returned to training after suffering a muscle injury in the victory over Malmo at Stamford Bridge.

The £98m striker returned to training on Friday but isn’t yet ready to join group training. The striker has instead started running in training today as he continues his recovery.

On Friday Lukaku took to social media to give fans an update on his situation, posting a simple tweet which read: “Running today let’s see how that goes.”

Lukaku will be unavailable for this weekend’s Premier League game against Burnley but will be hoping to ready after the international break.

Chelsea currently sit top of the table with a three point margin over second-placed Liverpool.

Of the 10 league matches played so far this season, Chelsea have lost just one and been held to a draw on one occasion.
