Chelsea defeated Juventus 4-0 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, and Blues defender Trevoh Chalobah was named the man of the match.
The 22-year-old had a good game and scored the opening goal for Chelsea with a smashing effort into the net after 25 minutes of action.
Former Liverpool winger Steve McManaman was impressed with Chalobah’s performance and praised the young Chelsea defender for his ability to forge a name for himself.
He said: “He’s worked hard and the fact that he’s been given this opportunity now, he’s learning from arguably the best around. Chelsea, as we said before, are in a real rich vein of form, experience and quality throughout.
“The fact that this young lad can train with the likes of Thiago Silva, the likes of Rudiger, he can learn from them. That experience is invaluable and it’s great for the Chelsea fans, a young lad who has come through the academy to play for the first team. There is nothing better sometimes.”
