Thomas Tuchel was understandably delighted with a near-perfect evening’s work from his side after four goals put Juventus to the sword at Stamford Bridge.
Trevoh Chalobah scored Chelsea’s first in only his first Champions League start for the Blues. Second half goals from Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner secured a big win for the Blues.
Following the victory over Juventus, Tuchel revealed Wednesday is a day off for the players and he insisted they deserve it.
Tuchel said: “[Wednesday] is a day off for the players and they fully deserve it but then from Thursday afternoon we prepare the next match. We will keep the feet on the ground but it was a very strong match.”
