Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel opted for Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso as his two wing-backs in the Champions League clash against Malmo.

Chelsea won the game 1-0, with Hakim Ziyech scoring the only goal of the game.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell have been the regular wing-backs for Chelsea this season but the duo were rested for this game.

Tuchel explained that he had to rest James and Chilwell as there are so many games to play this season.

“We have a lot of matches. At the same time we have good guys from behind so we can keep the same intensity levels hopefully up high in these positions and let Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta start.”

Reece James and Ben Chilwell have also been scoring goals of late for the team, with James scoring a fine brace in the 3-0 win over Newcastle.
