Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has given an update on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of the game against Burnley on Saturday.

Lukaku has missed the last four games for the Blues following an injury in Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Malmo at Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku confirmed on Friday that he’s now running in training and Tuchel has now given an update on the striker.

Tuchel said: “Yes (Lukaku is back running in training) but no change for the match tomorrow for Romelu and Timo [Werner]. Both of them are out. Christian Pulisic is back with the group, as he was in Malmo.”

Asked when he expects Lukaku to return to the team, Tuchel added: “To give you any date now, I would have to confirm. We also have the national break now and we will be more clear after that.

“We will use the time, of course, and see what is going on in the second week of the national break.

“If you ask me the question then I can be more precise than now. We have that break and we will use it. He will have treatment every day, the same for Timo and Mateo, to bring them on the pitch as soon as possible.”
