Chelsea enter the international break top of the table in the Premier League, but it’s still a long way to go with 27 league games left of the 2021-22 season.
Chelsea have a busy fixture schedule in December to January, as the Blues will play 9 games in the month of December alone (7 league games, 1 Carabao Cup and 1 Champions League game).
Tuchel has now warned his players of the upcoming fixtures and believes it would be hectic with the run of games to come and no breaks in between.
“Looking at the fixtures in December and January, it’s a lot,” Chelsea head coach Tuchel told the club’s official website.
“The World Cup is coming and the international break travels so we decided here to give staff one week off completely and to give everybody the chance to recover also mentally and to recharge the batteries.
“December will be tough, January will be tough and it will continue like this so no more breaks [after that] and we want to push the team to the limit.
“That’s why we use the time now after the game to rest.”
