Chelsea will compete for the Club World Cup in early 2022, as the Blues will take part in the competition in February 2022, having qualified courtesy of winning the Champions League.

Chelsea will face one of Al Hilal, Al Jazira or Auckland City at the semi-final stage, as Chelsea will start at the semis and will face the winners after the aforementioned teams must have played themselves.

Due to Chelsea’s involvement in the Club World Cup, Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures against Brighton and Arsenal in February have been postponed.

Chelsea were due to travel to Brighton on Tuesday, 8 February before hosting Arsenal at Stamford Bridge a few days later on Saturday, 12 February, but both these games will now be rescheduled.

The dates for the rescheduled games are yet to be fixed.
