UEFA explain why Trevoh Chalobah was named Man of the Match

Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah was named man of the match by UEFA following his performance in Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Juventus on Tuesday night.

Chalobah scored the first goal for the Blues and was also impressive at the back as the Blue clinched another clean sheet.

Explaining why Chalobah was named man of the match, UEFA Technical Observer Roberto Martínez said: “The three centre-halves were flawless from the first minute to the very end, but Chalobah wins it for scoring the vital opening goal and performing with huge maturity and efficiency in all his actions.”

Chalobah will be hoping he gets selected again for this weekend’s Premier League game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
