Ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash between Chelsea and Juventus at Stamford Bridge, Juventus boss Max Allegri has hinted Chelsea are more dangerous without Romelu Lukaku in the team.
According to Allegri, Chelsea play with more speed in attack and defend differently without Lukaku in the team.
“[On Tuesday], we play for first place against the Premier League leaders and the Champions League winners,” Allegri said at a press conference.
“Without Lukaku, they have different characteristics differently. They’ll have fewer reference points and do more counterattacks.
“Lukaku is a reference point. They gain speed without him and defend differently.”
