Jorginho’s Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2023 but extending the contract of the Italian international isn’t a priority for the Blues.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, extending Jorginho’s contract isn’t a priority for the Blues because there are more urgent negotiations to be held.

The Blues are currently prioritising extending the contracts of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to avoid losing both centre-backs as free agents at the end of the season.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is expected to start negotiations with the representative of Jorginho over extending his contract after resolving the contracts of Rudiger and Christensen.
