Angry Roman Abramovich ready to pull the plug on signing Eden Hazard from Real Madrid

According to Spanish media outlet El Nacional via Daily Mail, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to pull the plug on bringing back Eden Hazard to Stamford Bridge.

The report claims Abramovich is furious with Real Madrid for going after Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger and could snub a deal with Real Madrid for Hazard if they secure a free deal for Rudiger.

Rudiger, 28, is set to enter the final six months of his current Blues contract and does not appear close to penning an extension.

The German international is free to discuss a move with foreign clubs from January but it is believed he has already held talks with Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are understood to have been in discussion with his brother and agent Sahr Senesie in recent weeks, with both parties coming to an informal agreement.

Abramovich was open to bringing back Hazard to Stamford Bridge, which was music to Florentino Perez’s ears given their desperation to move him on as soon as possible.

Hazard has struggled to live up to expectations since leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019.
