Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of his captain armband at the club over latecoming and disciplinary issues, and the 32-year-old has been axed from the Gunners team in recent weeks.
Reacting to Aubameyang’s trouble with Arsenal, Tuchel spoke positively about the Gabon international.
“I feel sorry for him that he’s in trouble. This is not where he should be with his kind of quality and the positive character that he has. And I still believe in this,” Tuchel said.
“But I’m not involved, I’m not involved in what’s going on in his club now, and for this, I want to also show my respect and not be involved and judge what is right and wrong.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea fans have urged Tuchel to go for the Gabonese who scored a remarkable 79 goals in 95 appearances under him at Dortmund.
Arsenal fans have in turn told Chelsea to sign up their star striker.
