Fresh off winning the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup with Chelsea, former Blues defender Kurt Zouma left the club at the start of the season.

It was West Ham who won the signature for Zouma, despite that the Frenchman was linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.

Zouma has been a top player for the Hammers, and QPR striker Charlie Austin believes that Arsenal would be regretting not having signed up the France international whom he believes is one of the best signings of the summer.

“Zouma is definitely up there [with the Premier League signings of the season so far],” he told talkSPORT.

“Other clubs are looking at it and thinking: ‘We should have went for him’. Spurs, Arsenal – they are.’

“Chelsea only let him go because they have better players.”
