Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has urged the board to sign a left-back in January as the Blues have struggled at left wing-back since the injury to Ben Chilwell.
Tuchel has reportedly identified AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez as a replacement for the injured Chilwell and has given the board to the greenlight to sign the former Real Madrid star.
According to ESPN, AC Milan could be tempted to sell the left-back if they receive a fee of around €20million in January.
It’s surprising AC Milan would be willing to let Hernandez leave for €20million in January as he is under contract until 2024 and was also signed for €20million in 2019.
Everton left-back Lucas Digne is another left-back Tuchel is also considering to sign in January. He would be a more straightforward signing after having an apparent fall-out with the manager Rafael Benitez.
