Chelsea take on Liverpool on 2 January at Stamford Bridge as we seek to reduce the eight point gap with Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The Blues have been handed a double injury boost ahead of the game against Liverpool on Sunday.

Chelsea duo Thiago Silva and Timo Werner returned to full team training on Friday afternoon ahead of the clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

Thiago Silva missed the draw against Brighton after picking up an injury in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Boxing Day while Werner has been out since testing positive for Covid-19.

The return to training of Thiago Silva and Werner is good news for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea will be without Reece James and Ben Chilwell for the game against Liverpool.
