Chelsea midfielder claims he’s ready to replace injured Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic

Chelsea midfield trio of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are Thomas Tuchel’s most important men in the middle of the park, but unfortunately, all three are out injured.

Kovacic has been out injured since October, while Kante has been having recurring injury issues, and Jorginho who has been playing with back pains is now ruled out of the Zenit game.

With the trio set to miss the Champions League game in Russia, and possibly the coming games ahead, Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that he’s ready to cover for the injured players.

“Obviously I have had to be patient. There are a lot of good players at Chelsea, especially in the midfield department so a few injuries and I might be put in,” Loftus-Cheek said.

“I had to be ready, I feel like I have been ready physically. You have to step up, as a team and as an individual when players are injured and you have to do a job. But I feel like I am ready to do that.”
