Good news as top Chelsea midfielder is set to return for Aston Villa game this weekend

Chelsea will be away to the high flying Aston Villa this weekend, as the Villans have looked a different outfit under Steven Gerrard.

In contrast, Thomas Tuchel’s side has dropped form in recent weeks, with the laboured 3-2 victory over Leeds United the only win for Chelsea in the last four games.

Chelsea were held to a goalless draw in the last league game against Wolves, and the Blues were far from impressive in the first half of that clash.

Speaking after the game against Wolves, Tuchel admitted that his side lacked control of the game in the first half, and one of the reason for that was the combination of a defender Trevoh Chalobah with N’Golo Kante in the middle of the park.

Birthday boy, Jorginho, was missing against Wolves, and his absence was largely felt in that game as Chelsea couldn’t even boss possession in the first half.

The good news is that the Italo-Brazilian is now back in training ahead of the coming games against Brentford and Wolves. He seems more relieved from the back pain and it is understood that he had registered a negative Covid-19 test after returning both positive and negative tests before the Wolves game.
