Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has become a mainstay in the middle of the park for Chelsea, as injuries have halted the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic in recent weeks.
Loftus-Cheek wasn’t a part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the season as he was to leave the club on loan, but his impressive displays have forced his way into Tuchel’s plans.
Meanwhile, another Chelsea midfielder has been doing great things while out on loan. Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher has been very impressive for Palace, and he has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League this season.
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes that Gallagher would even play ahead of Loftus-Cheek when he returns at the end of his loan spell with Palace.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper said: “His (Gallagher) work rate in midfield is phenomenal… Would he play ahead of Loftus-Cheek? Probably, I could see him playing ahead of Loftus-Cheek.”
Many Blues fans can’t wait to have back the hard working Gallagher who’s a box to box player.
