Garth Crooks told Conor Gallagher that he would be making a terrible mistake if he returns to Chelsea next season.

Gallagher has impressed on loan at Crystal Palace and made the BBC Team of the Week after scoring twice ad Crystal Palace beat Everton 3-1 on Sunday.

“The Chelsea player, on loan to Palace, continues to impress at Selhurst Park,” Crooks told BBC.

“The only problem with this is that he is either going to cost Patrick Vieira too much money to buy – or worse he stays at Chelsea, which in my view would be a terrible mistake by the player.”

There have been reports the Blues could consider bringing him back in January if our midfield injury problems continue.

N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are currently out while Jorginho has been playing with a back injury.

Chelsea fans would surely love to see the 21 year old midfielder playing for the Blues.
